Following a widespread fire in one of the commercial buildings, which resulted in 17 casualties, our firefighting team proposed a crisis management command center to enhance the command and control vehicle with an increased bandwidth capability to prevent communication blackouts during similar emergencies.
A wireless repeater and amplifier were installed on the vehicle, along with a winch-mounted mast housing wireless and LTE antennas. Several issues were addressed through this approach:
- Wireless coverage reached its maximum capacity, and with the increased bandwidth, the number of usable wireless devices at any given moment tripled.
- Enhancing antenna reception improved mobile network connectivity with LTE by forty percent in a similar area.
